Patti Warnock - Performing arts / Storytelling The Countess of storytelling performs in both English and French and has participated in various cultural activities and festivals throughout Quebec, Canada, the Antilles, France and Iran including a participation in the T.D. Canadian Children's Book Week. Her repertoire consists not only of traditional style tales evoking memories of long forgotten kingdoms and wisdoms (and unravelling into the most unexpected conclusions), but also her own creations where reality and fiction walk hand in hand, and which are based on the reality of everyday life events, and on her own childhood in rural Quebec and in northern Canada, More and more her imaginative creations are the first choice of schools where she is called upon to tell or to present storytelling workshops as part of the Culture in the Schools program. (W.R.I.T.E. ® Writing, Reading, Imagining, Telling, English). An English-speaking native of La Belle Province, she travels the globe, collecting and sharing her stories. Her Irish origins and her “undefinable” accent lend a certain uniqueness to her stories, a certain timelessness...to be discovered in both official languages. Whether for children or adults her stories are for the young at heart of all ages.
