Janet Madelle Feindel, MFA is a voice, dialect and Alexander Technique Coach. She has coached all levels from beginner to experienced professionals such as academy award recipient F. Murray Abraham (Homeland); Order of Canada Fiona Reid, with many others.
Feindel has taught at John Abbott, Concordia, University of Alberta and is a professor emeritus at Carnegie Mellon University where she taught Leslie Odom, Jr (Tony Award recipient for Hamilton); Josh Gad (Tony Award nominee Book of Mormon, Olaf in Frozen) and Patina Miller (Tony Award recipient for Sister Act), Matt Bomer (Golden Globe Award recipient for Normal Heart).
Feindel has coached at Stratford (including the Birmingham Conservatory) and Shaw Festivals, Canadian Stage Company, Theatre for a New Audience/Royal Shakespeare Company alongside Cicely Berry, CBE; and the US Queer as Folk.
Publications include: The Thought Propels the Sound and a chapter in Performer's Voice, both Plural Publishing and her play, A Particular Class of Women, is included in Singular Voices, Canada Playwrights Press.
She currently teaches classes at Open Centre and the Sutton Yoga Centre.
