Expanded Improvisations is a 24 hour improvised music performance implementing effected guitar, electronics and various percussion instruments with invited collaborators joining spontaneously throughout the period. The project aims to explore and expand on musical ideas through a long form durational approach to improvisation. The performance will take place in the artist’s bedroom and will be live-streamed at closetgallery.ca

James Player is a musician and artist based in Montreal. He is a guitarist and multi-instrumentalist. His practice explores sonic textural possibilities through improvisation and collaborative performance.
