Hanna Zahorna was born in Kyiv, Ukraine. Received education in art as book designer and illustrator. …She worked for many years a graphic designer in Kyiv, but she never stopped painting. The main themes of her paintings are landscapes, cityscapes, portraits, abstract painting. After her arrival to Montreal in 2017, she got inspired by the beauty of this city. She began painting the cityscapes in watercolor and achieved success. According to Hanna, the recognition of a subject in her works is not important. It is rather her personal impression, mood, and atmosphere that she is trying to pass on to her paintings. Hanna’s passion is not limited to painting only. She also enjoys sharing her vision and special painting techniques with others, through art classes and workshops. She masters in watercolor, oil, and acrylic. Hanna took part in various exhibitions and art projects. Many of her works are dedicated to the Ukrainian independence and fight for a freedom. Hanna’s paintings can be found in private collections throughout the world. The majority of them are located in Ukraine, Germany, Poland, Belgium, Spain, Columbia, Canada, and the USA.
