Andrew Jackson is an artist interested in exploring the challenges of selfhood, representation and narration.
He us an award-winning recipient of the Autograph ABP / Light Work (AIR) International Photographic Residency in Syracuse, New York and a graduate of the MA Documentary Photography Program at Newport, Wales, UK.
His works focus on transnational migration, belonging, relatedness, space & place, memory and storytelling.
As well as the ways in which photography can challenge, reshape and revise history and its telling within discreet and intimate ways.
In 2018 he was shortlisted for the Elliott Erwitt Fellowship and the Magnum Foundation Socual Justice Fellowship.
His work is held in both national and international collections such as the Government Art Collection (UK), The Garman Ryan Collection, Light Work Collection, Rugby Art Gallery & Museum Collection as well as a range of private collections.
