Like so many people, we stayed home, we sat at our windows looking out, and we also listened and looked within. Using this as inspiration, the Native-Immigrant arts collective and Atelier d’Art Métèque have conceivedof an open-air exhibition uniting the visions and voices of four duos of Montreal artists and writers inspired by these expansive moments of reflection and imagination during the early season of sheltering in place.

Each week, a new writer and visual artist duo will co-create a pop-up experience for passersby using the windows and exterior spaces around the gallery. They will share with the public, their perceptions, their creative processes and even their expressions of faith, inspired by and gleaned from their time while they were away.

Join this culturally diverse group of emerging, mid-career and elder artists and writers — these dreamers of a new day— as they draw, paint, sculpt, knit, drum and write their visions, poems, stories, and songs out of the gallery and into the world.
