Jesse Freeston is a documentary filmmaker, cinematographer and video editor based out of Montréal. Over more than a decade working in Honduras he has published short documentaries for The Real News Network and Democracy Now, worked as a producer for Al Jazeera's Fault Lines, as a cinematographer for Terco Producciones, as a radio producer for Honduras' Radio Globo, and as a documentary director for TeleSur. He has finished two independent documentaries in Honduras, including Resistencia: The Fight for the Aguan Valley (2015) which was broadcast in more than twenty countries and completed a 45-city North American tour. Outside of Honduras, Jesse has worked as a shooter-editor for outlets such as: 60 Second Docs, AJ+, La Planète s’invite au Parlement and Vice News, as well as on a number of independent film projects. Jesse is a devout basketball player and a mediocre improv performer.
