Richard Austin
Richard Austin, a former art editor and graphic designer for Montréal advertising studios and tabloid newspapers, is a Canadian indie-filmmaker, painter and photographer. As a filmmaker, Richard has directed a number of music videos and short films, including “At Last...”, a dramatic short film about the reunion of two long-estranged sisters, and “Heather Crowe’s Legacy”, a documentary about how one individual made a difference by galvanizing political and public health efforts. Richard studied photography and fine art in Montreal, Toronto and Ottawa. He has published a number of documentary books and exhibited at galleries internationally.
