Sam Kasirer-Smibert
Sam Kasirer-Smibert is an abstract painter based in Montreal, who completed his DEC at Dawson college in Fine Art, and his BFA at Concordia University in 2019. He had his first solo show at the Victoria Hall Art Gallery in 2015, entitled Atro Versiamo,which means let’s cross over – and which signified his transition to abstraction as well as a new way of approaching painting.He has also been featured in The Six Hundreds’s summer 2017 journal with a spotlight on the work produced during a two-week residency at Gibraltar Point in Toronto summer of 2017. Kasirer-Smibert will also be participating in a duo Exhibition Opening March 7-April 8 2022 at Victoria Hall Art Gallery curated by Victoria Leblanc. He will hold his sixth solo show from March 15-May15 2022 at Centre Jerome B in the heart of Cote Des Neiges, and has an upcoming solo vitrine exhibition at Tangled Arts +Disability at 401 Richmond Street in Toronto slated for the end of 2022.
