Les Artistes de Saint-Henri is a group of artists from the Saint-Henri district, most of whom work out of the Complexe du Canal Lachine and thus feel very much a part of this diverse sector of Montreal. With our motto being "Saint-Henri helping Saint-Henri", we have found a way to have some serious fun: showing our art while raising money for a worthy cause.
ELAN members Kathryn Gabinet-Kroo, Beverly Farley and Shelley Freeman invite you to our second annual fundraiser for Famijeunes, a community organization that has been helping single-parent families in Saint-Henri and Little Burgundy for 40 years. There is currently an increased demand from single fathers and new immigrants.
This year's event kicks off with a vernissage, silent auction of valuable items donated by various sponsors, and an exhibition of paintings by 38 artists at the Centre d'art E.K.Voland from 5 to 8:30pm, Thursday, November 21st. The exhibition continues on Friday from 11 am to 6 pm, Saturday and Sunday from 11 am to 3 pm, and on Monday, November 25, from 11 am to 5:30 pm. The grand finale at 5:30 pm will be a raffle drawing for two gift baskets full of gourmet delights.
